The story behind Wahine Rising
The inspiration for my brand Wahine Rising came in the middle of the pandemic, in October of 2020. It was sparked by a feeling & movement of women’s empowerment. Despite our struggles as women business owners on Kauai, an island economically devastated during a pandemic, we carried on strong in our support of each other.
As a Personal Trainer & Women’s Wellness Coach I took to print what I have been practicing and preaching all my life. Wahine Rising is a movement and an effort to lock arms with other female business owners.
Our goal is to support local businesses, particularly female-owned, who are all struggling to keep our businesses open during COVID.
Words are powerful. When women wear a shirt with the word “worthy” they will remember they are worthy. When they wear a shirt that says “empowered” they will remember they are empowered.
Wahine Rising is a celebration of the positive changes happening during the recent resurgence of women’s empowerment.
When women wear a shirt that says “Wahine Rising” they will remember that change is coming and we are stronger together.
