You Are Worth Every Moment of Meditation

Although I’ve always seen the value in meditation throughout my life, like most beginners at first it felt a bit awkward and, frankly, luxurious to sit for 20 minutes and go within.

It was Covid hitting in March of 2020 when I finally gave myself permission to break up with busy, and to begin creating a daily practice that would forever change my life.

Meditation has been the key to opening the door to my spirituality, my connection with source energy and my highest self.

Today I want to share a few of my best tips for meditating and for figuring out what feels right for YOU. We all have our own personal preferences just like we do with anything in life. Figuring out your meditation likes and dislikes simply takes trying all kinds until you find what feels best to YOU.

I promise it is worth the self-discovery. Nothing makes me feel safer, more relaxed, centered and full of LOVE than a few minutes of meditation.

Start by listening to guided meditations, 10 minutes max. You can't go wrong listening to a calm voice sharing messages of love, peace, gratitude or empowering “I AM” statements.

I can tell you that the sound of a person's voice, man or woman, the pace of the message, the words they choose, and background music are all things you will have preferences for. Just like music, you could either love the song – memorize it and sing along – or you change the station.

Tips for meditating

Find a quiet space where you can relax.

Right after you wake up in the morning and before you go to bed are the best times. However, you can and should give yourself permission to meditate anytime you need to.

HUGE TIP. I do use my phone to listen to guided meditations, but I highly recommend you shut off distractions and turn off your cell phone notifications (airplane mode is the quickest way).

Close your eyes and sync your breath naturally.

One of the biggest myths about meditation is you have to turn off your thoughts — that actually can never happen. What we can do is focus our thoughts and take responsibility for them.

Meditation is all about being intentional with your thoughts. When we get calm, centered, and focused, we open up to the guidance from our highest self. Our best ideas, solutions to problems, life’s purpose and possibilities are all right there inside us, we just have to get quiet to hear them.

The beauty of meditation is everybody can close their eyes and take a few deep breaths. Totally free, anytime, anywhere!

Daily meditation is just like exercise. You never regret doing your workouts, right?

You will ALWAYS feel better after meditation.

If you need help taking your meditation practice to the next level or want to develop a daily practice — give me a call, as a teacher of meditation I understand that we all learn in our own way and I can help shine a light on that.

How YOU FEEL MATTERS!

I know that when I’m meditating, I feel like I’m taking great care of my soul. I feel like I’m falling in love with myself in the most profound way. I wish for all of you to feel empowered to do that too!
