Summers here! The sun is shining and it’s the perfect time to create a fun, impactful weekly walking routine for your best well-being🌈

I’m here to tell you that the benefits of daily walking are great, but the benefits of Nordic Walking are spectacular!!!

First off it’s easy, fun and anyone who can walk can Nordic Walk!

It’s like cross country skiing without the snow, and add the rainbows.

This low intensity, low impact exercise is excellent for tapping into stored fat for its main source of energy🙌  and revving up our metabolism. Two things high on my list and great for traversing menopause. 

Nordic Walking is great for activating 90% of the muscles in the body, specifically our core & upper body muscles. Ones that normally don’t activate with regular walking.

Up to 35% more calories burned for the same walk or hike done without the poles. For you daily step trackers that’s a really fun number to track. 

4 points of contact instead of 2 make it easier on your hip, knee and ankle joints. Anyone after fifty appreciates that benefit big time. 

Study after study shows that any kind of fitness is also amazing for brain health. Helping to decrease feelings of depression, anxiety and chronic stress by releasing a cocktail of natural feel good endorphins. 

Stress is currently referenced as the leading source of preventable diseases plaguing society today. 

Nordic Walking is fitness for the soul! It’s easy to learn and feels good on your body.
